Here we are in that weird stretch of time between the holidays and New Year's where anything goes.
— Pajamas at 3 pm? Sure!
— Pizza for breakfast? Why not!
— 16 hour Netflix marathon? Honestly... tempting.
And yet, underneath all that “anything goes,” there’s often a quiet restlessness, isn’t there?
A subtle pull to be planning, fixing, becoming.
What if we didn’t rush through 'here' just to get to 'there'?
This can be harder than it sounds.
Most of us are wired to move quickly through the present in hopes that the next milestone will finally bring ease, satisfaction, or peace in our own skin.
I feel this myself right now.
That urge to skip ahead - to the version of life where things feel settled, clear, handled.
But it rarely works that way.
Because 'there' eventually becomes your new 'here'.
And the cycle starts again.
This space we’re in right now is often called a liminal space - not what was, not yet what’s next.
Just… in between.
Uncomfortable.
Unstructured.
Quiet.
One small practice that helps during these moments?
Instead of trying to get rid of the discomfort, gently make room for it.
Not forcing acceptance.
Not “fixing” how you feel.
Just loosening the grip of resistance.

1. Journal
Seeing them on paper often brings perspective you can’t access in your head.
This has been a game changer for me - uncomfortable at first, grounding over time.
You might try saying:
“Oh… discomfort is here. Interesting.”
No judgment. No fixing.
The more you make time for it, the more it becomes second nature to do so. Huge possibility lives here.
5. Use the Single Breath Reset:
Anytime you feel rushed or scattered, take one intentional, slow breath. This tiny pause can shift your entire state.
Practice accepting and appreciating where you are for all it has to offer, and watch the trajectory of your life change ✨
