The #1 Most Vital Life Skill ✨

Sharing a favorite story with you today that I read in a magazine years ago.
It has stuck with me ever since, and I come back to it often in moments of self-doubt, insecurity, and confusion:
A psychologist was being interviewed about her work around wisdom and inner knowing.
She was asked what we get wrong about wisdom.
Her simple response ~
"The greatest misconception about wisdom, is that we don't have it"
Let that one sink it....
We think we don’t have any wisdom... because we are so out of touch with it
And so we implicitly trust people we’ve never even met to tell us what, when and how to eat, how to act, move, and be, over our own voices.
It doesn't have to be that way.
Let these words be a reminder that you DO have wisdom.
You don't need to rely on others for advice about who, what, and how to be.
You get to discover it for yourself

Here's how to tap into your own wisdom (it's there... I promise!):
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟭 --> PAUSE-
-- Stop your body
-- Take a slow steady breath
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟮 --> ASK what you need
-- What do you want to eat?
-- How much sleep feels right?
-- Do you need some down time?
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟯 --> LISTEN for the answer
-- Get quiet
-- Pay attention to the reply
𝗕𝗢𝗡𝗨𝗦 --> ACT on what you hear
-- Build trust in YOU ✨
The more you practice this.
The more you turn to YOURSELF for the answer.
Rather than out to others for theirs.
Deep inner listening is a powerful skill to practice and learn ~ few things are more valuable than the subsequent inner trust it builds. ✨
Have a great week!
